Train the Visual Skills That Power Athletic Performance

Elite athletes don’t just rely on speed and strength. They rely on how quickly and clearly they see the game. Sports vision training helps athletes sharpen their visual processing, tracking, and reaction time so they can play with more accuracy, confidence, and consistency.

What Is Sports Vision Training?

Sports vision training is a doctor-led program that improves how the eyes and brain work together during high-speed or high-pressure activity.

It’s designed to support the cognitive-visual skills athletes depend on to make split-second decisions, track moving targets, and stay focused in complex visual environments.

Unlike general fitness training, this therapy targets reaction time, visual memory, depth perception, focus speed, and hand-eye coordination, all of which influence performance across every sport.

Who Can Benefit from Sports Vision Therapy?

We work with:

  • Student athletes looking for a competitive edge.
  • Recreational or club-level players returning after injury or burnout.
  • Competitive adult athletes looking to fine-tune performance.
  • Athletes who feel like their vision is holding them back, even if their eyesight is “20/20”.

If you or your child is having trouble with timing, tracking, or visual consistency, and nothing else seems to explain it, sports vision training may be the missing link.

Skills We Train in the Metavision Clinic

Through guided in-office sessions and take-home support, we help athletes strengthen:

  • Balance—visual stability during movement.
  • Contrast sensitivity—picking up fast-moving objects against background motion.
  • Depth perception—judging speed and space accurately.
  • Dynamic visual acuity—seeing clearly while in motion.
  • Eye tracking—following targets with accuracy.
  • Focus flexibility—quickly shifting between near and far targets.
  • Hand-eye coordination—syncing visual input with physical reaction.
  • Peripheral awareness—reading the full field or court without losing focus on the play.

We also use diagnostic tools like RightEye® to track performance gains and fine-tune each program based on real-time data.

Sports Vision Training at Metavision in Magnolia

Our sports vision programs are led through the Metavision clinic, located inside our Magnolia office. It’s a dedicated space designed for focused, one-on-one training, where athletes can work without distraction in a calm, supportive environment.

Training sessions are held weekly or biweekly and include structured in-office exercises along with guided at-home activities to reinforce gains. Progress is measured regularly, and each program adapts as the athlete grows.
